Policymakers are often forced to make critical decisions about the safety of their constituents using limited or stale criminal justice data. But access to clean, updated data is essential to charting a path to safer, more equitable communities.
The Justice Counts National Launch event on January 26, 2021 from 2:00–3:30 p.m. ET. will explore the significant shortcomings of data in the criminal justice system and introduce a bold solution: Justice Counts.
Justice Counts is a consensus-building initiative of the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office of Justice Programs’ Bureau of Justice Assistance led by The Council of State Governments (CSG) Justice Center and an unprecedented coalition of 21 partner organizations committed to creating a stronger information infrastructure for the justice system.
