Case management is at the very heart of youth justice work, and so it’s vitally important to provide clear guidance which reflects the latest evidence and best practice.
So after a lengthy programme of reviewing, re-writing and testing during which we gained invaluable practice insights from across the sector I am delighted that we have now published revised case management guidance.
I know that many of you have been looking forward to the much-needed clarification that this guidance brings. So, to enable this to be used as soon as possible we have not waited for every element to be completed. Updates to the ‘out-of-court disposals’ and ‘custody and resettlement’ sections will be introduced later this year or early next year.
