The Florida Atlantic University (FAU) School of Criminology and Criminal Justice (SCCJ) invites applications for the position of School Director to begin July 2023 on the Boca Raton campus. The Director is appointed by the Dean of the College of Social Work and Criminal Justice and is responsible for establishing the academic priorities and setting intellectual standards for the SCCJ. The Director will be visionary and aspirational about the School’s future, cultivating and enhancing the scholarly excellence of the SCCJ. Additionally, they will oversee all the SCCJ’s programs, maintain and expand community partnerships, promote discipline engagement, and work in collaboration with faculty. Research and teaching areas of specialization are open. This position is a full-time, 12- month appointment and may include other duties, including campus activities, as assigned. A current rank of Professor is preferred. The SCCJ is comprised of fourteen tenure-track/tenured faculty and five full-time instructors, along with adjunct instructors, and a program assistant.
