In addition to his work as a criminologist, he conducts training sessions for teachers and students on bullying and cyberbullying, as well as for doctors and healthcare professionals, with the aim of raising awareness and fostering a greater understanding of how to effectively address gender-based violence.
“Stop Bullying with…” Project
Franco Posa, a criminologist from Varese with twenty years of experience in crime scene assessment and reconstruction, particularly in cold case investigations, and an expert in the study of criminal behavior.
About ten years ago, based on the latest findings in forensic neuroscience and the study of criminal behavior, a scientific interest emerged that also focuses on the study, prevention, and awareness-raising regarding bullying and cyberbullying.
This initiative is carried out on a regular basis through meetings aimed at students, teachers, educators, sports coaches, and the many other professionals involved in educational settings.
In his latest book, Franco Posa, a native of Varese, highlights the most up-to-date research on young people and children involved as perpetrators or victims in the increasingly frequent incidents of bullying and cyberbullying.
The book*Bullying, Cyberbullying, and Forensic Neuroscience*, published by EBS Print, is an innovative and useful resource for recognizing and addressing various critical situations.
Parents, educators, and legal professionals can navigate, understand, and address the issue from a perspective that is undoubtedly innovative and effective.
Our proposal calls for companies that are committed to this cause to sponsor training courses for students, teachers, and parents at a primary or secondary school in our area.
The courses vary in length and cost depending on the type:
- Students: duration approx. 2 hours (classroom capacity: max. 60 people) – €300.00
- Instructors: 4-hour course – €500.00
- Parents: 2 hours – €300.00
During the course with the students, Dr. Posa will screen a short film created specifically for this course and based on a true story; during the course, Dr. Posa will be joined by a law enforcement representative.
At the end of the course, students will receive a certificate of participation bearing the name of the project, “Stop Bullying with …”
The contribution is voluntary and fully tax-deductible as a business expense.
